How to Get Fruit Flies out of Your Home

I do not think there is anything worse than leaving some fruit out in a bowl on the dining room table for a few too many days only to realize that it has been taken over by a swarm of fruit flies. What is worse is that once you have a large amount of fruit flies in your house sometimes it seems like it is almost impossible to get rid of them. I know it took me about three weeks last time to fully get rid of them. So let me save you a little time and frustration by telling you how to get rid of fruit flies in your home the way I did it.
The easiest way to get rid of fruit flies is to take a big bottle of soda that is almost empty. Place some dish soap in the bottom of it and maybe a piece of fruit. Then poke a hole or two in the cap of the bottle just big enough for the flies to crawl into but, not big enough for them to fly back out. After a day or two all of them will be in the bottle and then you can throw the bottle away.
